Why is English important today?
After Mandarin, English is spoken by more people than any other language and is the native language of more than 350 million people. More people speak English than those who speak the Arabic and French languages combined
Moreover, English is the international language of diplomacy, business, science, technology, banking, computing, medicine, aviation, armed forces, engineering, tourism, Hollywood films and arguably the best pop and rock music in the world.
English can be fun too. For instance, the music of such stars as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, Adele, Madonna, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Robbie Williams, Britney Spears ,Rihanna, Shaggy, Beyonce, Sean Paul and Jay Z has encouraged fans to speak the language of their idols, while others have enrolled in English classes to improve their understanding of the dialogue in films and TV shows.
If you want to read some important writers through the history such as:
Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare, Edgar Alan Poe, Mark Twain, Stephen King, Virginia Woolf, among others. English plays an important part here.
If you hope to get a better job or being promoted you need to know English.
Finally Communication is a tool for everyday life and English is the bridge to make it easier, so if you want to interact with foreign people, just learn English.

I think it is not a secret English is the most common language in the world and it´s so easy to learn it. whenever you wish to travel someplace, you have to communicate. if you don´t know the language of the country where you intend to go, just try to speak English you would be understood right away. Also I think there are many people who are not using social networks since they are integral to it to abuse others, in that sense? in which people posing as fake (creating fake profiles) and deceive people to bribe them, molesting, stealing, or any other bad things.
There are also people who share additional personal information with other people can do many things wrong with this information.
There are also people who spend a lot of time on social networks, this already becomes an addiction, which is bad in every sense: in the sense that it affects health (eyes, spine, etc.).
